An oil truck driver from Midland was injured after he as involved in a truck rollover accident on the Midland Interstate.
The accident occurred as the truck was heading east on the Interstate near the Midkiff exit and one of the tires blew out. The man driving the Basic Energy truck then lost control of the vehicle causing it to veer off the road into the westbound lane and continue off of the service road until it reached a field and began to flip over.
The driver was thrown from the vehicle and rushed to the hospital with serious injuries when emergency crews arrived.
