A man was injured in an rollover accident on westbound Interstate 70 around 5:10 a.m.
The accident occurred after a pickup truck that was heading westbound down the roadway struck a patch of ice and lost control of the vehicle. The man’s vehicle then flipped and rolled into the median.
The driver was partially ejected from the truck after the accident and he was temporarily pinned underneath the truck. The man was transported to St. Mary’s hospital to be treated for his injuries. The westbound lanes were closed for nearly an hour after the accident occurred. Police are reminding drivers to drive carefully in inclement weather.
