Three injured in rollover car crash

Three people were sent to the hospital as a result of a rollover crash that occurred in Orleans County on Monday.

According to deputies, the accident occurred just after 2 a.m .when a 19-year-old driver lost control of his car and crossed the center line of the road. The car then ran off the opposite side of the road and struck two mailboxes before flipping over and rolling into a nearby field.

The driver and 17-year-old passenger were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in order to be treated for injuries sustained in the accident. A 16-year-old back seat passenger was treated at Lakeside Memorial Hospital where she was treated and released. The driver has been charged in the accident for speeding and failure to stay on the right side of the road.
