Ford Escape Stuck Throttle - Speed Control Accelerator Cable Defect

Ford Escape Recall includes a problem with the throttle linkage which can result in a stuck throttle (speed control) not returning back to the idle position. The driver of the Ford Escape may encounter sudden acceleration and increase braking. This can cause loss of control and could cause injury or death if a wreck or Ford Escape rollover occurs.

Remedy:
DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE ACCELERATOR CABLE. THE RECALL BEGAN ON JANUARY 10, 2005. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT FORD AT 1-866-436-7332. |
