This raising of the center of gravity seriously compromises the stability of the vehicle, especially during quick, unplanned maneuvers, such as sudden turns, sudden wind blasts, striking a curb at a high rate of speed, or running off the pavement and trying to bring the wheels back to the road surface or lane too quickly.
