Isuzu Rodeo Fire

DELRAY BEACH – A Broward County woman was killed early Thursday when her SUV burst into flames during a single-vehicle crash, police said. The accident occurred around 4 a.m. at the intersection of South Federal Highway and Linton Boulevard when Patricia Morris’s speeding 1998 Isuzu Rodeo hit a curb, which caused the vehicle to spin.

The truck continued across the grass and a driveway to a SunTrust bank branch, through street signs and a hedge and off at least one palm tree. It stopped 100 yards from the curb impact, in the drive way to a Burger King, and then exploded into flames. Morris, 59, of Carolina Avenue in Fort Lauderdale, died inside, police said.
