The driver a Chevrolet Suburban was killed as the result of an SUV rollover accident on I-94.
According to police officials, the accident occurred as the driver of the Suburban swerved to avoid hitting a piece of metal that was in the roadway. The driver then overcorrected and lost control of the vehicle just east of Freer Road.
The car rolled six times before landing on its wheels. There were four passengers, including three children, that were involved in the accident at this time. One child was injured, one broke a leg and the other cracked a vertebra. Traffic was closed going both directions as a result of the crash.
