Five people were injured after a Jeep rollover accident that occurred Monday in Brewster.

According to officials, the accident occurred when the driver of the Jeep swerved the vehicle in order to stop from hitting a pile of leaves that were on the roadway. Officials think that the driver turned the wheel too hard and caused the Jeep to flip and rollover.

Five of the seven people in the Jeep were transported to Putnam  Hospital Center in order to be treated. Police are still investigating the accident at this time and the injured have  since been released from the hospital.
