Nissan is including over 226,000 different models of vehicles in their airbag recall, an article from Fox News stated on July 27.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the additional recall affects 2002-2004 models of Infiniti, Sentra, Pathfinder, and Maxima vehicles. Nissan is now recalling a total of 664,628 vehicles that are equipped with airbags that may injure a vehicle’s occupants during deployment. The hazardous airbags were reportedly made by Takata Corp. Nissan stated that they are unaware of any injuries caused by the airbags in their vehicles before the recalls were issued. Owners of affected Nissan vehicles will have their airbags changed by their dealers this coming August for free.
