On Monday, December 30 one person died in an El Paso single-car rollover accident.
According to police spokesperson, Darrel Petry the incident happened on Spur 601 east of Global Reach exit. The vehicle reportedly rolled over after losing control. Neither of the two occupants were wearing their seat belts.
An occupant of the vehicle, Jesus Medina, was partially ejected during the rollover. Medina and another unidentified occupant were admitted to University Medical Center, where Medina later died.
Initial investigations indicate that alcohol and speed may have been the cause of the accident.
